Responsibilities:

Pre-trip preparation and planning
Lead guided fly fishing trips, providing exceptional experiences for clients of various skill levels
Instruct and demonstrate fly fishing techniques, casting, and fly selection
Identify and interpret local fishing conditions, including water levels, insect hatches, and weather patterns etc.
Assist clients in choosing and setting up appropriate equipment and gear, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the trip.
Share knowledge about local flora, fauna, and conservation and sustainable fishing practices
Offer excellent customer service, engaging with clients to create a memorable and personalized experience
Maintain and organize fishing and camp equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition
Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures, prioritizing the well-being of clients at all times

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and experience in fly fishing techniques, equipment, and local fishing destinations
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of clients
Patience and the ability to instruct and guide individuals with varying skill levels
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions
Physical fitness and stamina to withstand outdoor activities for extended periods
Previous guiding experience is preferred but not mandatory
A commitment to environmental stewardship and promoting good catch and release fishing practices
Valid driver’s license
Skippers License highly desirable
First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable
Photographic/videography skills are also highly desirable

We have a number of positions available and all candidates will be evaluated to determine suitability for each. All positions will be fixed term contracts from 3 – 12 months, based on the seniority and location of posting.
